Kareena did not enjoy going to school

Chameli of bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor says she did not like going to school as she felt left out for being an average student.

The 33-year-old actress, who is UNICEF's celebrity advocate for education in India, said as a kid she
would not get any attention from her teachers for not being a front bencher.

"My mother used to wake me up for school at 6 AM... I used to tell her 'one hour more please'. At the age of 10, I used to feel the pressure that I had the heaviest school bag ever.
I used to sleep in the class and was not given much attention in the class as I was an average student.

"Front benchers got all the attention. I used to feel left out and tell my mother that I will study at home or watch a movie," Kareena told reporters here.

The 'Singham Returns' star was in the Capital to launch Child Friendly Schools and Systems (CFSS) package. It highlights the need to keep continuous focus on the Right of

Education.

The programme is designed to enable all children to benefit from child-friendly and inclusive learning environment.
Kareena had also visited child friendly schools in Rajasthan with UNICEF
and her perception about the institution of education changed.
"I visited one such school early this year and was overwhelmed when I walked into it. The friendly environment and the happy faces of boys and girls made me feel at 33 to go back to school. I wanted to be there and wanted to study and play games with them.

"The students were interacting with such creative tools and teachers were giving attention to each one
of them," she said.

The actress feels that activity-based learning should be introduced to schools.
"Activity-based learning keeps the child engaged. It makes thing easy. They want to learn and they have the expression of curiosity and with such activities they learn faster. They were using crafts and tools to learn and that made a lasting impact on me," she added.

Kareena, who did her schooling from Mumbai, says education is important.

"Education provides them knowledge and courage. Tremendous progress has been made in the field of education for children in India. But our main challenge lies in the quality of
education. There are many children in school but they are not learning because they don't get the requisite attention.
Teacher is as important as a mother," she said.

Kareena said she next plans to visit Uttar Pradesh, Bhopal and Chhatishgarh as part of the UNICEF's education initiative.

Shahrukh will be lending his voice to help spread the message that all of society benefits when citizens respect law and fight crime and how everyone can take part in abolishing and fighting against crime.
"It's a very special honour to be a part of Interpol's Turn Back Crime Campaign as an Ambassador. As Mahatma Gandhi once said, 'I shall not fear anyone on Earth. I shall fear only God. I shall not bear ill will toward anyone. I shall not submit to injustice from anyone. I shall conquer untruth by truth. And in resisting untruth, I shall put up with all suffering, if I have to.'. We all should believe in this maxim and in whatever way possible resolve not to let unjust people who might threaten us with criminal activity make us fear them. Because I believe we can, we should, and we must stand together against the few who commit crimes against any human being, in whatever form or guise these crimes might take," said SRK.

Salman Khan gets betterhalf

Superstar Salman Khan has hinted at a possibility of getting hitched by the end of this year as he
is tired of being single for a long time.
The 48-year-old 'Jai Ho' star, who was at his funniest best at last evening's India Today Conclave 2014, did not rule out the chances of marrying Romanian beauty Iulia Vantur, whom
he is allegedly dating for quite sometime.
"Now I'm in transit period and I like it. From the age of 15, I did not get a transit period. For the first time, I have such a chance to sigh. I am sighing more since it has been two-and-a-half years. It's time to stop sighing because something soon will happen in my life.
"I follow humanity. I follow Islam, Christianity, and follow right thing as much I can. I have been kind of blessed.
Father is Pathan, mother is Hindu, second mother is catholic,
and brother-in-law is Punjabi. Wife, I am thinking to bring
from outside...," Salman said.
Salman has often been linked with his co-stars and also being termed as a 'possessive' boyfriend. He admitted that he was a miserable lover but a great friend.

"When you are in a relationship you try everything to see that she doesn't leave you. You try to be good. You give her a silent treatment. You yell, cry and when nothing works you say
go.
"I thought they were the most correct people for me... Great girls bad boyfriend. I have not been like the most incredible boy friend. I could be the friend and I have heard this from the ex girlfriends also that (he is) a great friend but miserable boyfriend," Salman said.

Actor also thanked his parents -- father Salim Khan and mothers Sushila Charak Khan and Helen -- for being with him at his worst times.

"No child would have given them as may problems. I was a naughty kid. They had to hear slanderous things about their son from others -- the jail episodes, the cases that have come. If these things would not have come, my father and mother would have looked as young as I look now," he said.

It is well known Salman has relationships with bollywood actresses like Katrina Kaif.

Deepika feels complete when in Love

Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone has confessed that she is completely ruled by her heart.

Deepika, 28, who has been linked to her co-stars multiple times, said being in a relationship is the most important thing for her.
"I am completely ruled by my heart, not just relationship wise but choosing films comes straight form my heart. For me being in a relationship is I think very important. I think i can speak on behalf of most of the women that they feel complete when they are in a relationship.

"But it has to be a beautiful relationship. A relationship that encourages you and makes you a better person. If it pulls you down or you start becoming someone that you are not it not a place to be in. And I have been in both," Deepika said today on the sidelines of India Today Conclave 2014.

When asked to comment on her relationship with 'Ram-leela' co-star Ranveer Singh, Padukone said, "I think I am in a stage where I don't want to rush into something. For a young girl like me it's very
eventually land up with."
important to get to know someone, may be it also comes from the fact that I dint want to go through heart ache again and you want to be sure about the person that you
The 'Cocktail' star was in a serious relationship with Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor and the couple split after dating for one year.

Despite her personal life, Padukone is on career high after giving back-to-back hits with 'Cocktail', 'Race 2', 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani', 'Chennai Express' and 'Ram-Leela'.

She does not think she has got any formula but she follows her heart while
choosing a script."I don't think success for me has a particular formula.

I think success comes from following your heart, believing in yourself and being the person you want to be V/s being someone that you are expected to be, and I don't think you are living an honest life if you are doing that," she added.

'Gulaab Gang' hits box office on samay

Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla- starrer film 'Gulaab Gang' will hit theatres tomorrow across
the country as secheduled as the Delhi High Court today lifted the stay granted on its release by a single judge bench on the ground that the movie depicts an activist and her 'Gulabi
Gang' in poor light.
"The film can only be shown after giving a clear disclaimer that it has nothing to do with the life of Sampat Pal (respondent) and her organisation Gulabi Gang," a division bench of acting Chief Justice B D Ahmed and Justice Siddharth Mridul said.
The film is scheduled for nationwide relase tomorrow and it had landed in trouble after a single judge bench yesterday stayed its release by nearly nine weeks after taking note of defamation law suit filed by Sampat Pal, a Uttar Pradesh-based activist.
sampat , who runs 'Gulabi Gang comprising women vigilantes wearing pink sarees, said she and her members help harassed women and girls by resorting to peaceful means and the prommos of the film
show that the lead actor, playing her character, was shown as an anti-social element, wielding swords and sickles, contrary to her real life persona.
The larger bench agreed in the forenoon to hear today itself the plea of producer Sahara One Media and Entertainment Ltd against the interim order of single judge bench.
"When did you come to know that the film is based on your life? Why you came so late"? the bench said.

Citing the case records, the counsel for Pal said there was no delay on her part and she has moved the court after the producers refused to reply to the legal notice.
Senior advocate Rajiv Nayar, appearing for the producer, said "the law is well settled that the pre-publication injunction cannot be granted in such cases."

Countering the plea, Pal cited the earlier High Court judgement and said the release of 'Bandit Queen' was first stayed and was allowed to be screened only after some ojectionable portions were removed.
